The objective of this study was to analyze the possible relationship between work and teachers’ health and the changes in the management of Escola Bosque, in the period of 1996 to 2006. On this way, the research proposed specifically: a) analyze the relationship established between teachers and pedagogical management; b) investigate if the changes in the school’s management contributed with the sickness/distancement of the teachers; c) analyze the existence of politicy of attendiment to teachers’ health included by the Municipal Secretary of Education. To reach these objectives, I realized a study of event. From this research the essay was organized in three parts. In the first, I make a bibliografy analysis around the sickness of teachers, looking for interconnection with the educational reforms in the years of 1990 and its relationships with the changes of conceptions of education, management and teachers’ work, in front of economic and social politicy’s reconfigurations; In the second part, I present the research’s locus, in which we show the main happenings that turned possible the conception and the build of Escola Bosque, and the fundaments and pedagogical politicy project, where the teachers’ work is guided having, the PFL’s government management. In the third part, I show the different programs in the educational area, developed by municipal governments, in two managements of PT (1997 to 2004), and the two initial years of PTB’s management; showing repercussion on work and Escola Bosque’s management, the precocious relationship in the interior of the researched school, the conceptions of the teachers’ work and consequences to workers’ health. The conclusion of this research, is that can exist a connection between the management of education and the form how it presents itself on Escola Bosque and the distancement and sickness of teachers of this institution. A presente pesquisa explorou o tema gestão, trabalho e saúde docente. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar as possíveis relações entre trabalho e saúde docente, no contexto das mudanças na gestão na Escola Bosque, no período de 1996 a 2006. Nesse sentido, a pesquisa objetivou, especificamente: a) analisar as relações estabelecidas entre os docentes e a gestão pedagógica; b) investigar se as mudanças na gestão da escola contribuíram para o adoecimento/afastamento dos docentes; c) analisar as políticas de atendimento à saúde docente existentes, implementada pela Secretaria Municipal de Educação. Para atingir tais objetivos, realizei um estudo de caso. A partir da pesquisa, a dissertação foi organizada em três partes. Na primeira, apresento o lócus da pesquisa, no qual procuramos identificar e delinear os principais acontecimentos que possibilitaram a concepção e a construção da Escola Bosque, assim como os fundamentos e o projeto político pedagógico pelos quais o trabalho docente é orientado, tendo como pano de fundo a gestão do governo do Partido da Frente Liberal (PFL). No segundo capitulo, ocupo-me dos diferentes programas, na área da educação, desenvolvidos pelos governos municipais, nas duas gestões do Partido dos Trabalhadores (1997 a 2004) e nos dois primeiros anos da gestão do Partido Trabalhista Brasileiro (PTB), buscando desvelar as repercussões no trabalho e na gestão da Escola Bosque, as relações preconizadas no interior da escola pesquisada, as concepções de trabalho docente e as conseqüências para a saúde desse trabalhador. No Capítulo 3, faço uma análise bibliográfica acerca do adoecimento docente, buscando interconexões com as reformas educacionais, nos anos 1990, e suas relações com as mudanças nas concepções de educação, gestão e trabalho docente, diante das reconfigurações das políticas econômicas e sociais. No quarto capítulo, analiso as entrevistas realizadas com docentes e coordenadores da instituição, buscando trazer à tona as relações existentes entre o trabalho realizado e a gestão.
