This text does not aim to discuss about all different readings that have been done on Dalcídio Jurandir books over the years. instead, it intends, at least, to present a proposal of reading the novel Passagem dos Inocentes based on the Dialetical Historical Materialism perspective. This work emphasizes the metaphor which makes the title of the book and the critical emancipation process verified in his main character being semantically closed. The dialectical stages of this work are: anti-thesis and synthesis which are verified in the main character, Alfredo, in his process of self-realization. These stages are processed in a continuous chain: ideological illusion, deception about Urbs and self-realization on his new way opposed to Urbs. |
