The questioning of the object of study and field work were guided by historical and dialectical perspective. The research was operationalized through a qualitative approach which included bibliographical, documentary survey and carrying out semi-structured interviews. We interviewed 12 (twelve) workers FUNASA, with 04 (four) in the municipality of Conceição do Araguaia, 04 (four) the city of Maraba and 04 (four) in the municipality of Ananindeua. In addition to two (02) union representatives and two (02) SINTSEP-PA lawyers. The dissertation concludes that the main demand of the union from the state's recognition of same that the poisoning suffered by civil servants characterized industrial accident. By assuming this, the state will be legally driven on treatment guarantee adequate by FUNASA. Of the subjects workers union activity, it is evaluated that despite some limitations, the gains achieved are due to the union. Esta dissertação aborda o resultado de pesquisa sobre os trabalhadores intoxicados da Fundação Nacional de Saúde do Estado do Pará (FUNASA/PA) e a atuação do Sindicato dos Trabalhadores no Serviço Público Federal no Estado do Pará (SINTSEP-PA). Tem como objetivo geral conhecer a situação atual dos intoxicados e analisar a atuação do SINTSEP-PA na luta pelo reconhecimento do Estado em relação as mazelas causadas aos trabalhadores em decorrência das condições de trabalho. A problematização do objeto de estudo e o trabalho de campo foram orientados pela perspectiva histórico-dialética. A pesquisa foi operacionalizada por meio da abordagem qualitativa que incluiu levantamento bibliográfico, documental e a realização de entrevistas semi-estruturadas. Foram entrevistados 12 (doze) trabalhadores da FUNASA, sendo 04 (quatro) do município de Conceição do Araguaia, 04 (quatro) do município de Marabá e 04 (quatro) do município de Ananindeua. Além de 02 (dois) representantes sindicais e 02 (dois) advogados do SINTSEP-PA. A dissertação conclui que a principal reivindicação do sindicato em relação ao Estado é o reconhecimento pelo mesmo de que a intoxicação sofrida pelos funcionários públicos caracteriza acidente de trabalho. Ao assumir esta situação, o Estado será acionado legalmente na garantia de tratamento adequado pela FUNASA.
