The entomoloogic collection of the Goeldi Museum contains specimens of 50 genera and 105 specimens belonging to the Sphecidae family. Most of these species are from the Adolpho Ducke wasps collection, which described a new genus and 17 new species of SpheGidae from the material depicted in this collection. Complete data are presented for each specimen, and the taxonomic names are updated according to the nomenclature of Bohart & Menke (1976). Current research and projects on this collection are mentioned here. |
