The work brings together works resulting from rigorous empirical research and
launches innovative analytical perspectives on indigenous participation
in politics, its relationship with justice and the State and the obstacles generated
guaranteeing indigenous rights through the hegemonic model of
development. The works demonstrate, on the other hand, the collective struggle
of indigenous peoples and movements for greater inclusion,
recognition and participation in national societies and, on the other hand, the
resistance of governments and states to embrace and implement the rights
indigenous peoples to their lands, resources and identities. |
