It is aimed especially at the Mebêngôkre-Kayapó people, but also at non-indigenous agents linked to the National Indigenous Health Subsystem, in particular the Kayapó DSEI. The content is divided into two parts, the first reporting the participatory research activities developed jointly with the indigenous people; the second part presents a catalog bringing together 64 medicinal plants known and used by traditional specialists, with their respective indigenous names and associated information, such as the parts used of the plants, the indicated treatments and the procedures, with bilingual description in Mebêngôkre-Kayapó and Portuguese . One of the main purposes of the publication is to encourage the new Mebêngôkre generations to maintain interest in these essential knowledge and practices in the preservation of indigenous health and to promote relationships of understanding and joint actions between the traditional indigenous health care system and the National Health Subsystem. Este trabalho é uma contribuição para documentação e registro de conhecimentos e práticas tradicionais em saúde do povo Mebêngôkre-Kayapó, principalmente sobre o uso de plantas medicinais e ao entendimento básico do seu sistema tradicional de saúde, Mebêngôkre Djukanê. Ele é direcionado especialmente ao povo Mebêngôkre-Kayapó, mas também aos agentes não indígenas vinculados ao Subsistema Nacional de Saúde Indígena, em particular ao DSEI Kayapó. O conteúdo está dividido em duas partes, a primeira relatando as atividades de pesquisa participativa desenvolvidas conjuntamente com os indígenas; a segunda parte apresenta um catálogo reunindo 64 plantas medicinais conhecidas e utilizadas pelos especialistas tradicionais, com seus respectivos nomes indígenas e informações associadas, tais como as partes usadas das plantas, os tratamentos indicados e os procedimentos, com descrição bilíngue em Mebêngôkre-Kayapó e português.
