Drosophila malerkotliana, an invasive species, has been found in Brazil in several environments showing great adaptability to microclimatic variations. This work aims to evaluate the success of this species in four habitats: two forest environments, one field area, and the last one represented by a forest remnant with fruit dumps on the edges. Of the total collected, D. malerkotliana was the species with the highest number of individuals captured, absolutely predominating in the most disturbed environment. In the other forest areas, the species of the Subgroup willistoni predominated, although D. malerkotliana obtained significant percentages. In the open field area, D. malerkotliana showed low frequency. These data indicate an association of D. malerkotliana with forest areas, which shows the sensitivity of the species to variations between environments and that its distribution between habitats is in the opposite direction of native species (Subgroup willistoni). A preferência de habitats pelas espécies de Drosophila está condicionada geneticamente aos seus diferentes níveis de tolerância aos fatores ambientais, e via de regra espécies invasoras aparentam menor sensibilidade às características estruturais de cada ambiente. Drosophila malerkotliana, espécie invasora, tem sido encontrada no Brasil em diversos ambientes demonstrando ter uma grande adaptabilidade às variações microclimáticas. Este trabalho objetiva avaliar o sucesso desta espécie em quatro habitats: dois ambientes de mata, uma área de campo e o último representado por um resquício de mata com lixeiras de frutos nas bordas. Do total coletado, D. malerkotliana foi a espécie com maior número de indivíduos capturados, predominando em absoluto no ambiente de maior perturbação. Nas demais áreas de mata as espécies do Subgrupo willistoni predominaram, apesar de D. malerkotliana obter percentuais significativos. Na área de campo aberto, D. malerkotliana apresentou baixa frequência.
