CNPQ::CIENCIAS BIOLOGICAS::BOTANICA::TAXONOMIA VEGETAL In the sandbanks of Algodoal and Maiandeua, islands located in the municipality of Maracanã- PA, the species Byrsonima crassifolia H.B.K., Banisteriopsis pubipetala Cuart. and Tetrapteris mucronata Cav. representing the Malpighiaceae family were recorded. The leaf anatomy of these species was studied, aiming to provide subsidies to the taxonomy of the family. These species were collected and exsicatas were incorporated to the MPEG herbarium and samples of the leaves were taken and divided into sections: apex, middle, margin and base, which were fixed in 70% alcohol for the anatomical studies. In this work we only dissociated the epidermis using the Jeffrey mixture (10% aqueous nitric acid and 10% aqueous chromic acid) in equal parts. After the separation of the epidermis, they were stained in Astrablau/Fuccin Basic. It was verified in B. crassifolia the presence of unicellular flattened trichomes, following parallel the epidermis both adaxial and abaxial, these present a central or lateral basal cell. In frontal view one notices that the base of the trichome is surrounded by small epidermal cells, in relation to the other cells of the limb, similar to a rosette. These are more evident in the adaxial epidermis. In the abaxial epidermis besides the above mentioned trichomes there are simple, long and wide trichomes, mainly on the central vein of the basal region; In B. pubipetala the trichomes are rare or absent in the adaxial epidermis and, when they occur, they resemble the rosettes described above, these were seen both in the lamina and on the veins, in the abaxial epidermis no trichorns were observed; In T. mucronata in the adaxial epidermis the trichomes are also rare and absent in both epidermises. The stomas are of the paracitic type in all the studied species, only that in Banisteriopsis were found, besides these, stomas of the anisocytic type. This preliminary note allows us to evidence some characteristics that may be used to separate the taxa that are being studied. Na restinga de Algodoal e Maiandeua, ilhas situadas no município de Maracanã- PA, foram registradas as espécies: Byrsonima crassifolia H.B.K., Banisteriopsis pubipetala Cuart. e Tetrapteris mucronata Cav. representantes da família Malpighiaceae. A anatomia foliar dessas espécies foi estudada, objetivando dar subsídios à taxonomia da família. Estas espécies foram coletadas, feitas exsicatas que foram incorporadas ao herbário do MPEG e retiradas amostras das folhas, divididas em secções: ápice, meio, margem e base que foram fixadas em álcool 70% para os estudos anatômicos. Neste trabalho foi realizado apenas a dissociação de epidermes utilizando-se a mistura Jeffrey (ácido nítrico 10% aquoso e ácido crômico 10% aquoso) em partes iguais. Após a separação das epidermes foi feita a coloração em Astrablau/Fuccina Básica. Verificou-se em B. crassifolia a presença de tricomas unicelulares aplanados, acompanhando paralelamente a epiderme tanto a adaxial como a abaxial, estes apresentam uma célula basal central ou lateral. Em vista frontal nota-se que a base do tricoma é rodeada de células epidérmicas pequenas, em relação às demais células do limbo, semelhante a uma roseta. Estes são mais evidentes na epiderma adaxial. Na epiderme abaxial além dos tricomas acima citados encontram-se tricomas simples, longos e largos, principalmente na nervura central da região basal; Em B. pubipetala os tricomas são raros ou ausentes na epiderme adaxial e, quando ocorrem, lembram as rosetas descritas acima, estes foram vistos tanto no limbo como sobre as nervuras, na epiderme abaxial não foram observados tricornas; Em T. mucronata na epiderme adaxial os tricomas também são raros e ausentes em ambas as epidermes. Os estômatos são do tipo paracítico em todas as espécies estudadas, apenas que em Banisteriopsis foram encontrados além destes, estômatos do tipo anisocítico.
