Rosa and São Caetano de Odivelas - Salgado Zone) and the Arapari-Moju-Igarapé Miri axis (Tocantina Zone). This work aims to survey, systematically review and register its occurrence. According to bibliographical, field and herbarium indications, the genera Stylosanthes Sw., Zornia Gmel. and Desmodium Desv. The survey in the MG and IAN herbaria confirmed the occurrence of the following species: Stylosanthes angustifolia Vog., S. gracilis H. B. K , S. grandifolia M. B. Ferr. et Souza Costa, Zornia latifolia Sm., Z. curvata Moh1., Desmodium barbatum (L.) Bth. and D. canum (Gmel.) Schinz. et Thellung. In the first two excursions, it was observed that many of the fields recorded through collection books and herbarium samples no longer exist and some of the others are being occupied by crops and cattle or being destroyed by sand removal. On the first trip to the fields of the Salgado Zone, they were dry and burned and only one specimen of Zornia latifolia Sm. was found. On the second trip to the fields of the Tocantina Zone, many specimens of Desmodium barbatum (L.) Bth. After surveying these seven species, in addition to the specialized bibliographical survey, a systematic study, description and drawings of the habits and floral parts of species belonging to the genus Stylosanthes were started, continuing with Zornia and Desmodium. The next step provides for anatomical studies of the most representative species of the genera studied. As Leguminosae herbáceas encontradas em ecossistemas litorâneos são pouco conhecidas e estão sob risco de desaparecimento sem terem suas identificações e ocorrência conhecidas, por causa da intensa ocupação e consequente destruição desses campos naturais, geralmente situados sobre solos podzólicos ao longo do eixo da rodovia PA-140 (Vigia, incluindo Sta. Rosa e São Caetano de Odivelas - Zona do Salgado) e do eixo Arapari-Moju-Igarapé Miri (Zona Tocantina). Este trabalho tem por objetivo fazer o seu levantamento, revisão sistemática e registro de ocorrência. De acordo com indicativos bibliográficos, de campo e de herbário, foram selecionados, inicialmente, os gêneros Stylosanthes Sw., Zornia Gmel. e Desmodium Desv. O levantamento nos herbários MG e IAN constatou a ocorrência das seguintes espécies: Stylosanthes angustifolia Vog., S. gracilis H. B. K , S. grandifolia M. B. Ferr. et Souza Costa, Zornia latifolia Sm., Z. curvata Moh1., Desmodium barbatum (L.) Bth. e D. canum (Gmel.) Schinz. et Thellung. Nas duas primeiras excursões observou-se que muitos dos campos registrados através de livros de coleta e amostras de herbário já não existem e alguns dos outros estão sendo ocupados por lavouras e criação de gado ou sendo destruídos pela retirada de areia. Na primeira viagem, aos campos da Zona do Salgado, estes estavam secos e queimados, encontrando-se apenas um espécime de Zornia latifolia Sm. E, na segunda, aos campos da Zona Tocantina, foram encontrados muitos exemplares de Desmodium barbatum (L.) Bth. Após o levantamento dessas sete espécies, além do levantamento bibliográfico especializado, foram iniciados estudo sistemático, descrição e desenhos dos hábitos e peças florais das espécies pertencentes ao gênero Stylosanthes, prosseguindo-se com Zornia e Desmodium.
