Resumo:
The main objective of this research is to draw an ethnographic profile, seeking to study the internal relationships that exist between fishermen in the community of Marudá, municipal seat of Marapanim, in the State of Pará, and the bragantinos, its largest contingent of migrants. It also seeks to understand the internal migration in northeastern Pará and its characteristics, focusing on its causes, consequences, origin of fishermen, reason for migration, social composition of the migration flow, forms of organization and settlement in the village in question. The methodology was based on direct observation, and the techniques used were: application of forms, visual register (photographs), formal and informal interviews, from which accounts of migrants and Marudaenses were extracted. We selected one neighborhood in Marudá for this study - the Sossego neighborhood - taking into consideration the large extension of the village as a whole, and the fact that this is where most of the migrants - mostly bragantinos - live in this area of the community. According to researchers, since the 1970s, this migration has been taking place in the village of Marudá, and in other similar areas on the coast of Pará, where the entrance and exit of the population is a constant, seeking economic improvement in communities that present better conditions of survival. It was observed that at the beginning of the migration from the Bragantine to Marudá, there was a certain resistance to outsiders, because this contingent was a competitor in the fishing market and also because of the short period of time in which they achieve economic success. At the production level, few Bragantine fishermen were found forming work groups or crews for the Marudá fishermen, both for deep-sea and shore fishing, demonstrating, still, a certain manifestation of resistance of the community's fishermen towards Bragantine migrants.
