The fungi of the genus Puccinia are classified in the order Uredinales, in the class Basidiomycetes and division Basidiomycota. The order Uredinales has its main economic importance as it is responsible for plant rusts. The present work is part of the project "Uredinales of the Caxiuanã National Forest", and its objective is to identify, relate and describe the Puccinia species of the ECFPn. The study was carried out with specimens deposited in the herbarium "João Murça Pires" (MG) of the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi. Microscopic observations were made from semi-permanent slide preparations of the sera and spores, mounted in lactophenol solution and heated. To complement the identification stage, specialized bibliography and comparative studies with specimens from the MG herbarium were used. Ten species of the genus Puccinia were identified: P. bambusarum, P. flavo-virens, P. heliconia, P. heterospora, P. insueta, P. minuta, P palicourea, P. paraensis, P. psidii and P. thaliae. These species were parasitizing twenty-two host plant genera representing nine families: Cyperaceae, Heliconiaceae, Malvaceae, Malpighiaceae, Marantaceae, Myrtaceae, Poaceae, Rharnnaceae, and Rubiaceae. P. flavo-virens, P. minuta and P. palicourea are new citations for the Brazilian Amazon.
