They are ecologically obligate parasitic fungi, responsible for plant rusts. The objective of this work was to identify the specimens of Uredinales collected in the Ducke Forest Reserve (AM), in the Amazon Biodiversity Program (PPBIO) grid. The study area belongs to a tropical forest, well sampled in relation to the characteristic ecosystems of the Amazon biome, with an area of 10,072 ha, located in the municipality of Manaus, AM. The specimens studied were collected during an excursion from January 26 to February 5, 2006. The species identification stage was based on host identification, macroscopic observations of the symptoms under a stereomicroscope and observation of the microstructures under an optical microscope, complemented by specialized literature and comparative studies with specimens deposited in the MG herbarium. For the microscopic analyses, semi-permanent slides of spores and sera were prepared, mounted in lactoglycerol solution and heated. Twenty-three specimens of Uredinales were identified, belonging to 10 genera, of which seven were teleomorphs: Cerotelium, Cerra doa, Dietelia, Desmella, Porotenus, Puccinia, and Sphenospora, and three anamorphs: Aecidium, Uredo, and Malupa. The teleomorph genera were classified in the families Pucciniosiraceae (i), Uropyxidaceae (2), Pucciniaceae (i), Phakopsoraceae (1), and Raveneliaceae (1). Cerradoa is a genus of undetermined family. These specimens were parasitizing 13 genera of host plants, classified in 11 plant families. Based on the 'results obtained, illustrations and descriptions were made. The species Dietelia duguetía Hariot, Malupa píperínum Buriticá & Hennen and Uredo maceíensís P.Hennings represent new occurrences for the Brazilian Amazon. The species Cerotelíum fícícola Buriticá & Hennen, Cerradoa palmae Hennen & Ono, Sphenospora smilacína H. Sydow, Uredo borreríae P. Hennings and Uredo olyrae P. Hennings, represent first citations for the State of Amazonas. As espécies Dietelia duguetía Hariot, Malupa píperínum Buriticá & Hennen e Uredo maceíensís P.Hennings representam novas ocorrências para a Amazônia brasileira. As espécies Cerotelíum fícícola Buriticá & Hennen, Cerradoa palmae Hennen & Ono, Sphenospora smilacína H. Sydow, Uredo borreríae P. Hennings e Uredo olyrae P. Hennings, representam primeira citação para o Estado do Amazonas. 2023-05-29T17:00:52Z 2023-05-29 2023-05-29T17:00:52Z 2007-08-05 Resumo FREIRES, Erika da Silva; SOTÃO, Helen Maria Pontes.
