The present study aims to inventory and analyze the fish community of igarapés, specifically of the Taiassuí River Basin, and to correlate it with anthropic impacts. Collections were carried out in three different points of the Taiassuí River and one in the Benfica River between the months of March and November 2006, and January 2007. Complementary data from 2001 and 2003 available at the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi (MPEG) were used. The collection methods were trawls and hand nets. The individuals collected were sacrificed and fixed in 10% formalin, preserved in 70% alcohol, and added to the MPEG collection. We analyzed 5,177 individuals belonging to seven orders, 23 families, and 81 species. In the order Characiformes the most representative species were Hemigrammus belottii (Steindachner, 1882) with 19.5% of representation and Hyphessobrycon werneri Géry & Uj, 1987 with 18.9% of the total. In the order Perciformes the most representative species were Apistogramma agassizii (Steindachner, 1875) with 24.5% and Aequidens epae Kullander, 1995 with 8.5%. However, these data are a minority when compared to the magnitude that the study can reach, where the analysis of these veins confirms the lack of knowledge about the richness of the streams and how the impacts can transform it. A fauna de peixes de água doce da América do Sul é a mais rica ictiofauna continental do planeta, porém quando se trata de igarapés os estudos acerca da ictiofauna ainda é pouco conhecida mesmo sendo esses os detentores da maior e mais ameaçada riqueza. O presente estudo objetiva realizar inventário e análises sobre a comunidade de peixes dos igarapés, especificamente da Bacia do Rio Taiassuí, além de correlacioná-Io com os impactos antrópicos. As coletas foram realizadas em três diferentes pontos do rio Taiassuí e um no Rio Benfica entre os meses de março e novembro de 2006, janeiro de 2007. Foram utilizados dados complementares de 2001 e 2003 disponíveis no Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi (MPEG). Os métodos de coleta foram redes de arrasto e de mão. Os indivíduos coletados foram sacrificados e fixados em formol a 10%, conservados em álcool 70% adicionados ao acervo do MPEG. Foram analisados 5.177 indivíduos, pertencentes a sete ordens, 23 famílias e 81 espécies. Na ordem dos Characiformes as espécies que obtiveram maior representatividade foram Hemigrammus belottii (Steindachner, 1882) com 19,5 % de representatividade e Hyphessobrycon werneri Géry & Uj, 1987 com 18,9% do total, já na ordem Perciformes as espécies mais representativas foram Apistogramma agassizii (Steindachner, 1875) com 24,5% e Aequidens epae Kullander, 1995 com 8,5%.
