Archaeological ceramic collections formed by private individuals during the 19th and 20th centuries were a common practice in the Amazon and have been deposited in Brazilian and international museums. These collections have become the subject of study in various fields, despite the difficulty in recovering information. This article studies the Dita Acatauassu collection from Marajó Island, with the aim of obtaining permanent custody by the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi. |
