This enabled to assess the impact of hunting on wildlife and bring into evidence cultural, temporal and spatial patterns of use this resource, and also have enabled to assess future scenarios of impact of hunting and interaction between anthropic and ecological aspects on game in computational modeling. This study show outcomes of six months of Participatory Monitoring of Hunting (PMH) in 10 villages in Xerente Indigenous Land (XIL) situated in the Brazilian Cerrado, as a method of obtain information about exploitation of the local game species. Fifty-two hunters, wherein three are no indigenous, registered 266 successful events of hunting, with 31 species hunted, 308 animals killed and 3.995,1 kg harvested. Medium and large sizes mammals were the most representatives. Cuniculus paca (paca) was the species most harvested. Even that the outcomes of PMH are of small spatial and temporal scale, it enables to help in understanding of level currently of exploitation of game and modifications in traditional hunting system. Implications this outcomes for future research about game in XIL and in others traditional communities in Cerrado are presented. Pesquisas de base-comunitária que envolvem monitoramento participativo têm sido amplamente utilizadas em trabalhos sobre atividade de caça em sociedades tradicionais, sejam elas indígenas ou não, na região Neotropical. Isso tem possibilitado avaliar o impacto da caça sobre as populações selvagens exploradas, evidenciado padrões de uso cultural, espacial e temporal desse recurso, e possibilitado também avaliar futuros cenários de impactos da caça e interações entre aspectos antrópicos e ecológicos sobre a fauna cinegética em modelagens computacionais. O presente estudo apresenta resultados de seis meses do Monitoramento Participativo da Caça (MPC) em 10 aldeias na Terra Indígena Xerente (TIX) – Cerrado brasileiro, como forma de obter informações sobre a exploração da fauna cinegética local. Cinquenta e dois caçadores, sendo três não indígenas, registraram 266 eventos de caça com sucesso, com 31 espécies caçadas, 308 animais mortos e 3.995,1 kg de biomassa abatida. Mamíferos de médio e grande porte foram os mais representativos. Cuniculus paca (paca) foi a espécie mais abatida. Mesmo que os dados do MPC sejam de pequena escala temporal e espacial, estes permitem ajudar na compreensão do atual nível de exploração da fauna cinegética local e também em alterações no sistema tradicional de caça. Implicações desses resultados para futuras pesquisas sobre a fauna cinegética na TIX e em outras comunidades tradicionais no Cerrado são apresentadas.
