Resumo:
This article brings reflections on Youth and Adult Education (EJA) in the southeastern Amazon region of Pará, at the Hilda Oliveira Sá school. The objective was to analyze how the teachers have been developing their educational practices with the EJA students and to point out factors of the teaching practice in a context marked by difficulties regarding the methodologies applied by the teachers. The article is a qualitative research and interviews were used as a data collection tool. The participants were teachers, students from the 3rd (Third) and 4th (Fourth) stages, and the EJA pedagogical coordinator. The theme arose from observations and experiences in our daily teaching routine, in which we noticed the need for studies that point to solutions for the various issues that arise in everyday school life. The text presentes reflections on the current scenario of young and adult education and its contrasts based on the failures in regular education, which are, above all, young people relegated to the EJA modality. It is hoped that the work exposed here can serve as a basis for new reflections and changes in the practices developed with this public, and that the theme reincorporates and expands the Practice of teachers in the municipality of Paragominas. The results pointed out the need to improve the interpersonal relationship between teachers and students, in the construction of values and knowledge in the educational setting and the relevant quantity of young people who are migrating from regular education to the modality in question – the scenario of a fragmented education.
