O presente trabalho destina-se trazer a problemática que envolve a Preservação Documental dentro das Instituições Arquivísticas e a subsidiar o estudo sobre a Preservação Documental nas Instituições abordando a gestão documental e os procedimentos da mesma como referência para a preservação documental e conservação dos acervos documentais, a Política Pública de Preservação, o planejamento da organização documental, os conceitos, as recomendações técnicas arquivísticas a respeito da temática, tendo o embasamento teórico e metodológico alusivos ao assunto.
