This work presents a prototype of an information visualization tool for tablets that makes use of treemap technique. The tool has all the required features in a good information visualization tool (overview, zoom, filters and details on demand).
This tool talks with a server embedded in a general purpose information visualization tool that will process all the data and images due to the limitations of a mobile device as a tablet.
The tool was developed in Android (operating system for mobile devices) platform allowing a vast compatibility between different devices and easing the remote data access due to mobile connectivity. This tool was also developed to be extensible, allowing that the tool benefits of advances in the tool which it’s based. |
