The objective of this work is through a case study to analyze and detect the level of geometric thinking of the elementary school students, using as main tool the Van Hiele test. With the result obtained from the research we will be able to analyze how the knowledge in geometry of the researched students is. O ensino da Geometria tem adquirido nos últimos anos, uma importância maior no senário das reformas educacionais do país tem sido proposto como fator fundamental das habilidades e competências matemáticas nos níveis de ensino fundamental e médio. O objetivo desse trabalho é através de um estudo de casos analisar e detectar o nível de pensamento geométrico dos alunos do ensino fundamental maior, utilizando como ferramenta principal o teste de Van Hiele.
