In this way, the intention is to generate a reflection about the work, in order to offer a new perspective to approach the polysemic phenomenon. In addition, the work was based on bibliographical reviews with emphasis on studies by Duarte (2003), interview exercises and questionnaire, essential elements for the research exercise. Therefore, the results showedthat the fact that there is a polysemy in the nonverbal language opposite was one of those thatimproved the phenomenon as occurring in verbal language. O estudo verificou a ocorrência da polissemia por meio de estímulos visuais, produzidos por emojis, os quais são utilizados frequentemente nas plataformas de interações virtuais como Facebook, Twitter, Menssaggen e, em particular no Watsapp. Desse modo, evidenciou-se o deslocamento do fenômeno polissêmico da linguagem verbal, para a linguagem não verbal, com isso, intenciona-se gerar uma reflexão sobre o trabalho, a fim de oferecer uma nova perspectiva de abordagem do fenômeno polissêmico. Ademais, o trabalho embasou-se em revisões bibliográfica com destaque para os estudos de Duarte (2003), acrescidos de entrevista e questionário, elementos indispensáveis para o êxito da pesquisa.
