However, there are few studies few of freshwater fish, especially in the early stages of development. In this context, this study aims to investigate the vertical variation of the assemblies of fish larvae in ponds and floodplain environments channels on Sustainable Development Reserve Mamirauá (RDSM), in relation to different times of the hydrological cycle. Samples were collected during times of flood, wet, ebb and dry using a conical net (300), by means of horizontal drag on the water column surface and depth, during the daily cycle in 2011. Analysis the results indicate that the vertical migration occurred during all times of the hydrological cycle and study sites, with the highest densities ever occurring on the surface during the night. These results are of great importance to define seasonal strategies for the protection of floodplain environments, revealing that daytime sampling underestimate the ichthyoplankton parameters for several species, crucial to maintaining the ichthyic diversity of all the average Solimões region and the conservation of important fish stocks commercially exploited in this part of the Amazon. A migração vertical diária (DVM) é um padrão de comportamento amplamente estudado em ecossistemas marinhos. Contudo, são poucos os estudos realizados com peixes de água doce, principalmente nos estágios iniciais de desenvolvimento. Nesse contexto, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo investigar a variação vertical das assembleias de larvas de peixes, em ambientes de lagos e canais de várzea na Reserva de Desenvolvimento Sustentável Mamirauá (RDSM), em relação aos distintos momentos do ciclo hidrológico. As coletas foram realizadas durante os momentos de enchente, cheia, vazante e seca, utilizando-se uma rede cônica (300 μm), por meio de arrastos horizontais na coluna d’água em superfície e profundidade, durante o ciclo diário no ano de 2011. A análise dos resultados indicam que a migração vertical ocorreu durante todos os momentos do ciclo hidrológico e ambientes estudados, com as maiores densidades ocorrendo sempre em superfície durante o período noturno. Estes resultados são de grande importância para definir estratégias sazonais de proteção aos ambientes de várzea, revelando que as amostragens diurnas subestimam os parâmetros ictioplanctônicos para diversas espécies, cruciais para a manutenção da diversidade íctica de toda a região do médio Solimões e para a conservação de importantes estoques pesqueiros, explorados comercialmente nesta parte da Amazônia. 2019-08-07T12:01:39Z 2019-08-07T12:01:39Z 2016-10-04 Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Graduação RAMOS, Arthur Souza.
