However, the ICU environment is still seen with prejudices and becomes an even more delicate experience when it comes to the hospitalization of a child, being surrounded by fear and anxiety by the mother and family. Therefore, the present study aimed to present the evidence in the literature about the experiences of relatives in the process of hospitalization of children in the intensive care unit, from 2008 to 2017. The method used is characterized as a review of the literature. The search was performed on the platform of the Virtual Health Library - VHL, in the Latin American and Caribbean Literature database on Health Sciences - LILACS, using the descriptors "family child" and "intensive care unit" and established as criterion of inclusion for the selection of the sample: complete articles with public availability, published in Portuguese in the period from 2008 to 2017, to attend the experiences of relatives in the process of hospitalization of children in the intensive care unit. The result of the collection totaled fourteen (14) articles, giving rise to three categories, being: changes of routines faced by relatives in the ICU environment; the look of nursing and the relationship with relatives; support and support to family members in the ICU. The aim of this study is to contribute to the construction of knowledge and reflection through evidence within the literature about the experiences of family members during hospitalization, such as feelings of anxiety and fear during hospitalization, opening the way to better care and well-being favoring the confrontation of the family member within the ICU. A UTI é um ambiente de muitos avanços tecnológicos, com equipamentos modernos que se tornam importantes no tratamento e na redução da mortalidade, tanto na pediatria quanto na neonatologia. Porém o ambiente da UTI ainda é visto com prejulgamentos e se torna uma experiência ainda mais delicada quando se trata da hospitalização de uma criança, sendo cercada de medo e ansiedade pela mãe e familiares. Diante disso, o presente estudo objetivou apresentar as evidências na literatura sobre as vivências de familiares no processo de internação de crianças na unidade de terapia intensiva, no período de 2008 a 2017. O método utilizado caracteriza-se como uma revisão da literatura. A busca foi realizada na plataforma da Biblioteca Virtual da Saúde – BVS, no banco de dados Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde – LILACS, sendo utilizados os descritores “familiar criança” and “unidade terapia intensiva” e estabelecido como critério de inclusão para a seleção da amostra: artigos completos com disponibilidade pública, publicados em português no período de 2008 a 2017 que atendessem as vivências de familiares no processo de internação de crianças na unidade de terapia intensiva. O resultado da coleta totalizou quatorze (14) artigos, dando origem a três categorias, sendo elas: mudanças de rotinas enfrentadas pelos familiares no ambiente da UTI; o olhar da enfermagem e a relação com os familiares; apoio e suporte aos familiares dentro da UTI. Espera-se com este estudo, contribuir para a construção do conhecimento e para a reflexão através de evidencias dentro da literatura sobre vivências dos familiares durante a hospitalização, como os sentimentos de ansiedade e o medo durante a hospitalização, abrindo caminhos para um melhor atendimento e bem-estar favorecendo o enfrentamento do familiar dentro da UTI. 2019-08-27T14:20:42Z 2019-08-27T14:20:42Z 2018 Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Graduação COSTA, Gicelda Pimentel.
