Thinking in this challenge that this work was developed, which main goal is to verify the differences between collection of the rain made by the pluviometer Ville of Paris and a simple pluviometer made with bottle PET, both installed at the station Meteorological of UFPA, in October 2008 for October 2010. The results show that the pluviometer made with bottle PET presents good performance in the collection of the rain when compared to the pluviometer Ville of Paris. Then the pluviometer utilization PET, it is a simple measure which can help in the study of the space variation of the precipitation in a certain region, because it is more accessible, due to the very low cost regarding the pluviometer Ville of Paris. dificuldade na medição espacial da precipitação em uma região é sempre um desafio, devido aos custos envolvidos para aquisição e/ou instalação dos pluviômetros que requerem áreas abertas e sem edificações e/ou árvores. Pensando nesse desafio que este trabalho foi desenvolvido, cujo objetivo principal é verificar as diferenças entre a coleta da chuva efetuada pelo pluviômetro Ville de Paris e um pluviômetro simples confeccionado com garrafa PET, ambos instalados na Estação Meteorológica da UFPA, no período de Outubro de 2008 a Outubro de 2010. Os resultados mostram que o pluviômetro feito com garrafa PET apresenta bom desempenho na coleta da chuva quando comparado ao pluviômetro Ville de Paris.
