Resumo:
Integrating well log and seismic data allows correlate geological information in depth, from the logs, with the seismic data recorded in time. The well-seismic ties involves forward modeling a synthetic seismogram from sonic and density logs. The synthetics accuracy depends on some factors such as well log quality, adopeted time-depth function, resampling of the reection coe cients to macth the seismic sample rate, and the seismic pulse. In this study, we investigate the forward modeling of seismic trace from well logs and techniques that can be used throughout the stages of this process. In addition, synthetic seismograms were generated from real data from the two regions (Viking Graben and Tumbes-Progress Basin) and the results were correlated with the migrated seismic data. The results showed that the synthetic seismograms enable tying important re ectors of seismic sections.
