The failures in terms of oil exporation on the Parnaíba Basin are considered a real challenge, or a “frontier” to be unveiled in the hydrocarbon exploration area. Only 3 out of the 33 profiled wells have resulted in hydrocarbons indications. On a geological context, it is one of the most unknown due to its colossal proportions.Among the projects aiming at a better understanding of this basin for different purposes, there is the initiative of the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) that through a survey conducted over nine lines distributed along the area in question seeks to provide improved handling of data in order to analyze possible occurrences of oil and/or gas reservoirs. This work aimed to reprocess such data (brute data) for the line 2D 02FF-001, more precisely to a passage corresponding to the set of the 1000 final shots of this equivalent line at 10 km, with the help of the Land Mark corporation’s software named @Promax for the creation and subsequent analysis of the speed model, in order to provide information on the importance of this step and its use in seismic processing on land data. |
