This study addresses the archaeological culture Maracá’s funerary artifacts from a
perspective of methods and content relevant to museum documentation, considering this as a
major means of preservation. In order reflection on the relation of understanding of the
artifacts from a human intentionality, therefore, endowed with important information content
(visual, subjective and contextual) that categorizes them as document and their relevance in
the preparation of a more detailed document system, we have as base for this study the
iconographic analysis of the artifacts that make up the collection AP-MZ-30: Gruta das
Caretas, where such observations have provided the identification of elemental units that form
patterns and stylistic peculiarities significant for representing visual codes of the producer
group. |
