In this way, it is necessary to understand some factors that can interfere in the formation of competent readers. Therefore, in this study, we will highlight some ideas and perspectives regarding reading, taking into account the importance of encouraging it to cease being treated by many as something uninteresting. The present study, according to the nature of the data, is characterized as a bibliographical and qualitative research. Este trabalho tem como intuito abordar a importância da literatura na prática de leitura. Busca ainda demonstrar a relevância que a escola tem para que o aluno desenvolva a prática da leitura. O ato de ler está presente em todos os lugares da sociedade. Dessa maneira, é necessário entendermos alguns fatores que podem interferir na formação de leitores competentes. Portanto, nesse estudo, vamos ressaltar algumas ideias e perspectivas em relação à leitura, levando em consideração a importância de incentivá-la para que esta deixe de ser tratada por muitos como algo desinteressante.
