Açaí is today one of the main products cultivated in the locality due to the consumption takes place of effective, cultural and daily form in the table of the riverside. In general, it can be said that açaí is currently among the fruits of the local and business economy of the region, because each crop is created new export strategies and the ways of using the fruit are expanded. However, this research aimed to analyze the impacts that the increase of the practice of açaí cultivation in both floodplain and land areas has been interfering with the environmental and productive diversity of the locality, evidencing the participation of the family in the açaí production process without neglecting to point out the importance of this practice for the economic growth of the locality. The research was developed through semi-structured questionnaires with open questions, applied to 10 (ten) producers, also the interviews had participant observation, where they were recorded and then analyzed. It was also possible to perceive in the producers that they intend to continue cultivating the palm tree and that they see in it the perspective of increasing improvement of their familiar economic resources. Even with the difficulties faced for this palm tree to be cultivated in Earth firm area, due to the irrigation of the soil, and the same plant needs a lot of water, these growers are looking for the best ways to maintain their açai areas and intend to grow them, it even more. Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar as influências do processo de intensificação da produção do açaí em áreas de terra firme em relação à diversidade ambiental e produtiva dos agricultores da Comunidade Quilombola do Rio Genipaúba Abaetetuba-Pará. O açaí é hoje um dos principais produtos cultivado na localidade devido o consumo se dar de forma efetiva, cultural e diariamente na mesa dos ribeirinhos. De forma geral pode-se dizer que atualmente o açaí está entre os frutos que estão no rol da economia local e empresarial da região, pois a cada safra criam-se novas estratégias de exportação e se amplia as formas de aproveitamento do fruto. Entretanto, nesta pesquisa buscou-se analisar os impactos que o aumento da prática do cultivo do açaí tanto em área de várzea como em terra firme, vem interferindo na diversidade ambiental e produtiva da localidade, evidenciando a participação da família no processo de produção do açaí sem deixar de pontuar a importância dessa prática para crescimento econômico da localidade. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida através de questionários semiestruturados com perguntas abertas, aplicadas a 10 (dez) produtores, também as entrevista contou com observação participante, onde as mesmas foram gravadas e depois analisadas. Foi possível perceber também nos produtores que estes pretendem continuar cultivando a palmeira e que veem nela a perspectiva de melhora cada vez maior de seus recursos econômicos familiares.
