The present research aims to identify and analyze initiatives for the social inclusion of people with disabilities in Marajó, from the actions carried out through the Movement for the Inclusion of Marajó (M.I.M). In a qualitative way, the research adopts a methodological process based on an exploratory field research carried out in the sphere of action of the movement, obtaining as main interlocutors the coordination, voluntary participants of the MIM, and people with disabilities served by the project as well as their families. For data collection, instruments such as questionnaires and recorded interviews were used. The results of the research indicate that the practices undertaken in the Movement for Inclusion in Marajó arising from the interaction of society as an instrument for transforming action have been fruitful in order to strengthen the inclusion of persons with disabilities in several municipalities in the Marajó archipelago. |
