Resumo:
The Marine Controlled Source Electromagnetic (MCSEM) is a geophysical method used for deepwater studies. This method has been used to detect and appraise hydrocarbon reservoirs based on the resistivity variations. This work was made an interface graphic user to MCSEM using the MATLAB R○ software to 1D horizontally stratified subsurface. Beginning from the calculus of the total electromagnetic fields and their components on the FORTRAN program, show, to analysis and comparison, the behavior of the electric and magnetic fields to a different layers eir properties defined before to make his analysis or will be able to create his own subsurface models, defining some properties of the each layer as resistivities or thickness, which will be used to the field’s calculus. Then the user will be able to visualize the layers model with their parameters for many frequencies and position of both transmitters and receivers The user also can modify and save it with shape and name as desire, allow the calculus of electric and magnetic fields, note the amplitude and phase of the fields and assay the changes on fields to several subsurface, which can or not has a hydrocarbon reservoir.
