Resumo:
The Pickett plot is an efficient method to solve the Archie equation, with the production of realistic values for the water resistivity and the cementation exponent using the measurements recorded in a deep resistivity log that was corrected by the invasion effects and a convenient calculation of porosity, using the porosity logs (bulk density, neutron porosity and sonic). However, the method developed by Pickett is a graphical one, which imposes the need of a visual interpretation of the Pickett plot to get a satisfactory solution. This work presents a methodology, based on the generalized angular competitive neural network that allows the solution of the Archie equation as a computational interpretation of the Pickett plot. The evaluation of this methodology is performed on synthetic data that satisfy the Archie equation and on real data.
