In the same way, the university as an asset of society has a fundamental role as an incentive and an enabler. Therefore, the UFPA Smart Campus project emerges, seeking to collaborate with the construction of an platform to access information for the university community. For this, it relies on the concepts of crowdsourcing and free software in order to establish a direct relationship of service exchange and mutual benefits with users. As a primary product of the initiative, an application was created to serve the community, which participated in testing and will be the main source for new information to be inserted into the platform. Dentro do contexto de cidades inteligentes, um dos componentes fundamentais para sua consolidação é a participação ativa da população nos processos de construção desses espaços. Do mesmo modo, a universidade como um ativo da sociedade tem um papel fundamental como incentivadora e possibilitadora. Deste ponto, surge o projeto Smart UFPA que busca colaborar com a construção de uma plataforma de acesso à informação voltada para a comunidade universitária. Para isso, se apoia nos conceitos de crowdsourcing e software livre a fim de estabelecer uma relação direta de troca de serviços e beneficiamento com os usuários.
