Therefore, this paper presents the development of a tracking mobile app, aiming to propose a simple and accessible solution for the tracking of devices attached to goods or people. The application is divided in two modules: Tracking, used to get the location coordinates of the tracked device, and User, used to track the movement of a particular device throughout the map. The application was developed in Android, using Google Maps API, GPS, and webservice technology, which is responsible for intermediating the communication between the modules and the MySQL database. A case study was conducted within the Federal University of Pará, by the use of the application in the monitoring of the Circular bus. Thus, it was possible to verify the actual operation of the application as well as the benefits that this could bring to the academic community. A funcionalidade de geolocalização, introduzida nos smartphones, se faz presente em uma série de aplicações capazes de identificar a localização de elementos de interesse ou definir trajetos eficientes para um deslocamento. Desta maneira, este trabalho apresenta o desenvolvimento de um aplicativo móvel para rastreamento, objetivando propor uma solução simples e acessível para o rastreamento de dispositivos acoplados a bens ou pessoas. O aplicativo é divido em dois módulos: Rastreamento, utilizado para obter as coordenadas de localização do dispositivo rastreado e Usuário, utilizado para acompanhar a movimentação de determinado dispositivo através do mapa. A aplicação foi desenvolvida em Android, utilizando API Google Maps, tecnologia GPS e tecnologia webservice o qual é responsável por intermediar a comunicação entre os módulos e a base de dados MySQL. Um Estudo de caso foi realizado dentro da Universidade Federal do Pará, através da utilização do aplicativo no monitoramento do Ônibus Circular.
