For this, it is theoretically based on the studies of D'Ambrosio (2005) in discussing ethnomathematics, Tardif (2002) and Pimenta (2002) for evidencing aspects of teacher knowledge. As a methodological procedure, we opted for field research, allied to quantitative analysis and bibliographic review. The data collection was performed through a questionnaire with five questions and an interview script, also with five questions, recorded in audios and transcribed for analysis. Analysis indicates that the teacher recognizes that the knowledge coming from the daily practices of the students potentiate the proposition of practices in the classroom. In addition, knowledge is a confluence of knowledge, such as experience, curricular, disciplinary and knowledge. Este trabalho acadêmico teve como objetivos analisar saberes de uma professora que atua na Educação de Jovens e Adultos no município de Cametá-PA, bem como, identificar a partir de suas concepções acerca das suas estratégias e metodologias utilizadas na realização das aulas, e ver o interesse e dificuldades de aprendizagem dos alunos. Para tanto, apoia-se teoricamente nos estudos de D'Ambrosio (2005) ao discutir sobre etnomatemática, Tardif (2002) e Pimenta (2002) por evidenciarem aspectos dos saberes docentes. Como procedimento metodológico, optou-se pela pesquisa de campo, aliada a análise qualitativa e revisão bibliográfica. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de um questionário com cinco perguntas e um roteiro de entrevista, também com cinco questões, gravadas em áudios e transcritas para análise. Análise indica que a professora reconhece que os saberes advindo das práticas cotidianas dos alunos potencializam a proposição de práticas em sala de aula.
