The present theme sought to provide the student of the EJA a reflection on their family structure and the other families, relating their family context and in this way seek knowledge about the subject so that there is awareness of respect among the different families, realizing that the Family configuration has undergone transformations over the years, reflecting on what is Family; The differences and similarities of a family and the real importance of this family to the human being, contributing to the students doing the activities proposals using reading and writing and their mathematical knowledge in the activity. Students participating in the activity were six, with ages ranging from 20 to 50 years, night shift. O trabalho foi desenvolvido em uma escola na cidade de Belém na turma da primeira etapa da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA), utilizando atividade disciplinar, com o tema "A família", colocando em pauta como eram as famílias no passado e como é na atualidade, iniciando a conversa com duas perguntas, o que é família para eles, e a outra se eles têm apoio familiar. O presente tema buscou propiciar ao aluno da EJA uma reflexão sobre sua estrutura familiar e as demais famílias, relacionando o seu contexto familiar e dessa forma buscar conhecimentos sobre a temática para que haja a sensibilização do respeito entre as diferentes famílias, percebendo-se que a configuração de Família sofreu transformações ao longo dos anos, refletindo assim sobre o que é Família; quais as diferenças e semelhanças de uma família e a real importância desta para o ser humano, contribuindo para que os alunos façam as atividades propostas utilizando leitura e escrita e seu conhecimento matemático na atividade.
