Teatro na Terceira Idade: Costurando Vidas em Cena, registra em cinco cartas pessoais, cada uma com um destinatário diferente, o percurso da aluna Amanda Carneiro Figueredo, enquanto bolsista e estagiária do Projeto de Extensão Teatro, Memória, Música e Poesia na Melhor Idade. Através de uma perspectiva subjetiva – entremeada de descrições e reflexões, lembranças e emoções, que procura aproximar vários campos do conhecimento, como o artístico, empírico e científico – este trabalho apresenta considerações sobre a inserção do idoso no universo teatral como protagonista da cena e sobre o trato com a memória de velhos por meio do teatro; discorre sobre o trabalho de uma professora de teatro em gestação; sobre uma oficina de teatro com idosos embasada nos jogos de Augusto Boal e sobre uma montagem teatral realizada a partir desta oficina; sobre a relação da escritora com seus colegas de tralaho, suas alunas, o contexto em que o projeto foi desenvolvido e suas íntimas observações.
