This Course Completion Paper (TCC) intends to present the use of comic books in the teaching of Geography, focusing on the 6th grade class of Elementary School. For this, we work with the idea that the construction in comics provides a more playful, participatory, intuitive and engaging learning, which leads
to better learning for the student. Otherwise, it is concerned to know if comic books can add positively to the significant learning of Geography, as a school subject, and to analyze the contributions of the teaching of Geography mediated in comic books. For a better understanding of the work, we divided it into five moments, in which we expose the main elements that make up the comic book language, the way they communicate and the interaction that can be done with the reader. In a following part, this will highlight a brief account of geographic science, specifying the beginning of the process of its foundation, and its teaching in current times. Thus, the opportunity is taken to use the use of comic books as a mediator of this teaching. Finally, as a result of this work, we will present the magazine “Nossos Saberes Geográficas em Quadrinhos”. The method used will be through exploratory readings seeking to qualify and quantify the work developed. Through this, we sought to understand the uses of comics in learning Geography, emphasizing a more playful, illustrative learning that focuses on better learning for the student. |
