To improve this understanding, the use of “experimentation” becomes a facilitating tool for a better understanding of the chemical concepts studied in the classroom, as it brings students' daily life closer. From this perspective, the present work aimed to understand how experimentation can assist in learning chemistry teaching. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the methodology currently used in chemistry teaching, to analyze the difficulties of students in the use of experimental activities and to use experimentation as an auxiliary tool in chemistry classes. To obtain the data, semi-structured questionnaires were applied to the students in order to collect the necessary information. The results showed that the students of the Rural Family House felt motivated with the experimental classes in chemistry teaching, being this fact detected through the applied questionnaires, winch they considered the experimentation important for the teaching and learning process. We conclude from this work that the use of classroom experimentation contributes to meaningful learning, given that seeing in practice the phenomenon happening is very important for its understanding. Tendo em vista que uma das dificuldades dos alunos em assimilar o conteúdo de Química é devida a mesma ser considerado por muitos, como uma disciplina complexa. Para melhorar esse entendimento o uso da “experimentação” passa a ser uma ferramenta facilitadora para melhor compreensão dos conceitos químicos estudados em sala de aula, pois aproxima o cotidiano dos alunos. Nessa perspectiva o presente trabalho teve por objetivo compreender de que maneira a experimentação pode auxiliar na aprendizagem do ensino de Química. Para tanto, é necessário identificar a metodologia utilizada atualmente no ensino de Química, analisar quais as dificuldades dos alunos no uso de atividades experimentais e utilizar a experimentação como ferramenta auxiliadora nas aulas de Química. Para obtenção dos dados foram aplicados questionários semiestruturados para os alunos a fim de coletar as informações necessárias. Os resultados mostraram que os alunos da Casa Familiar Rural se sentiram motivados com as aulas experimentais no ensino de Química, sendo tal fato detectado através dos questionários aplicados, que estes consideraram a experimentação importante para processo de ensino e aprendizagem.
