The methodology used for research if it based on the document analysis and in interviews, and through the collected data, we lifted discussion showing that the teaching of the punctuation marks for deaf students needs to be accomplished with the use of visual resources and what is necessary the teacher to know the Language of Signs to promote interaction in classroom. Com o objetivo de contribuir para o avanço dos estudos sobre a educação bilíngue para surdos, investiga-se neste trabalho como ocorre o processo de ensino-aprendizagem da prosódia gráfica para alunos surdos no nível fundamental través de análise de conteúdos de língua portuguesa sugeridos para o 6º ano do ensino fundamental, 1 (um) plano de curso de língua portuguesa e um plano diário individual do Atendimento Educacional Especializado fornecidos por 2 (duas) escolas públicas do município de Tomé-Açu que atendem alunos ouvinte e surdos matriculados no 6º ano do ensino fundamental. e entrevistas realizadas com 4 (quatro) professoras que atendem alunos surdos no ensino regular e no atendimento educacional especializado.
