In this sense, we seek to reflect on the process of the initial formation of pedagogues and the contribution of this formation to the knowledge built for the implementation of the pedagogical practice in service. The data obtained from the research had the contribution of two teachers from the early years, one from Paulo Freire School and the other from Rainbow School. The research is qualitative approach and descriptive-interpretative nature, developed through semi-structured interviews. The data bring results that allow us to understand that the initial formation of teachers who work in the early years of schools located in rural areas of the municipality of Acará, Pará, still leaves much to be desired in the implementation of pedagogical practice, considering that learning The practice and the appropriation of knowledge are only acquired in the daily life of the profession, because, according to the reports obtained, the teachers do not feel prepared only with the initial training to act as professionals in schools. For the teachers interviewed, the practice of pedagogical practice depends on knowledge acquired in the daily life of the profession and in continuing education. Este presente trabalho intitulado: “Formação inicial e a prática pedagógica do licenciado em pedagogia dos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental no município do Acará-Pará” tem como objetivo compreender a formação e a prática pedagógica do professor licenciado em Pedagogia do município do Acará, a partir duas escolas localizadas em áreas rurais. Buscamos, neste sentido, refletir sobre o processo da formação inicial de pedagogos e a contribuição desta formação para os saberes construídos para a efetivação da prática pedagógica em serviço. Os dados obtidos com a pesquisa, contou com a contribuição de duas professoras dos anos iniciais, sendo uma da Escola Paulo Freire e a outra da Escola Arco-íris. A pesquisa é de abordagem qualitativa e de cunho descritivo-interpretativo, desenvolvida por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas. Os dados trazem resultados que nos permitem compreender que a formação inicial de professores que atuam nos anos inicias de escolas localizadas em áreas rurais do município do Acará, no Pará, ainda deixa muito a desejar na efetivação da prática pedagógica, tendo em vista que o aprendizado da prática e a apropriação de saberes só são adquiridos no dia a dia da profissão, pois, segundo os relatos obtidos, as professoras não se sentem preparadas somente com a formação inicial para atuarem como profissionais nas escolas.
