This study focuses on the insertion of women in the labor market, presenting their struggles, as well as their daily effort in search of their space within society, also showing their profile, emphasizing women in the commercial sector. Since they were not recognized in the commercial sector. The general objective is to analyze the history of working women, as well as their struggles to conquer their space, existing inequalities and, above all, how they have been inserted into the Novo Repartimento Municipality's labor market. Regarding the specific objectives, to address the historical context of women's trajectory in the labor market, to investigate how the insertion of women in the Brazilian labor market occurred and to identify how the commercial sector of the municipality of Novo Repartimento has contributed to promote the insertion of women in the labor market. In order to reach these objectives, a bibliographical research was first carried out, mainly based on the works of the following authors: Baltar and Leone (2008), Baylão (2014) and Borges (2009), others, and, through a semi-structured interview through a questionnaire consisting of 10 closed questions, carried out with 20 women, being 10 employees of Alô Para Supermarket and 10 of Big Loja, which are two companies of the commercial sector of the municipality of Novo Repartimento / PA. After data collection, the content analysis was performed, diagnosing that the commercial sector of this city offers several differentiated opportunities to those who intend to enter the labor market, and presents itself as a gateway to the labor market, for most of the women, whose profile is revealed, is of young women who have primary or secondary education and who intends to grow more and more, professionally speaking.
