Relevant works such as Michael Pollak (1992), Maria da Gloria Gohn (2006), Iraci de Carvalho Barroso (2001), Gissele Silva (2006), Maria Cecília Minayo (2004), and many others are striking. Developed over generations in the fields and cities of the most diverse societies; traditional practices are those sets of beliefs, knowledge, and actions that hold subjects in their historical and social time, and upon which forms of experiences are produced which in all influence the life of a community. This study allows us to enter the practices of a midwife of the Holy Trinity Community, Acará, Brazil, with the objective of reporting her trajectory as part of other histories, from the practice of childbirth in the community, and which place her in the ambit of bearer of knowledge and memories admittedly important to those residents. In this sense, we opted for semi-structured interviews, participant observation and conversation with the midwife, in order to understand their stories, as an element of historicity that allows us to think of a non-formal education inserted into the knowledge present or not in the School Schools. . Therefore, we divided the text into three chapters (1- Midwives and Benzedeira: An Approach to Traditional Knowledge; 2- Life Story of a Traditional Midwife in the Holy Trinity Community in Acará County; and 3- The Knowledge and Practices of Partire: Learning and Teaching). The results expose the life story of a single midwife and her life stories in the Holy Trinity community, highlighting her as having a rich and complex knowledge about health and folk medicine in the communities where she worked. Therefore, the research led us to analyze this knowledge, as well as, the practices exercised until today; These reports and experiences challenged me as a student of the degree course in rural education to think of the techniques involved in childbirth as valid knowledge, and linked to health promotion in the rural communities of the Amazon. Esta monografia constitui estudo descritivo de caráter qualitativo, considerando a história de vida como caminho metodológico para apreensão de uma temática sempre atual que seja as das práticas tradicionais e sua importância para uma educação do campo inserida as novas modalidades e exigências do conhecimento. Saltam aos olhos trabalhos relevantes como de Michael Pollak (1992), Maria da Glória Gohn (2006), Iraci de Carvalho Barroso (2001), Gissele Silva (2006), Maria Cecília Minayo (2004), e tantos outros. Desenvolvidas ao longo de gerações nos campos e cidades das mais diversas sociedades; as práticas tradicionais são aqueles conjuntos de crenças, saberes, fazeres que detenham sujeitos em seu tempo histórico e social, e, sobre o qual, produzem-se formas de experiências que de todo, influenciam a vida de uma comunidade. Este estudo permite adentrarmos nas práticas de uma parteira da Comunidade Santíssima Trindade, Acará, Brasil, com o objetivo de relatar sua trajetória como parte de outras histórias, a partir da prática do parto na comunidade, e, que a colocam no âmbito de portadora de saberes e memórias reconhecidamente importantes para aqueles moradores. Neste sentido, optou-se por entrevistas semi-estruturadas, observação participante e a conversação com a referida parteira, no intuito de compreendermos suas histórias, como elemento de historicidade que permita pensarmos uma educação não formal inserida aos conhecimentos presentes ou não nas Escolas do Campo. Por isso, dividimos o texto em três capítulos (1- Parteiras e Benzedeira: Uma abordagem acerca do saber tradicional; 2- História de Vida de uma Parteira tradicional na comunidade Santíssima Trindade no município de Acará e 3- Os Saberes e Práticas do Partejar: Aprendendo e Ensinando). Os resultados expõem a história de vida de uma única parteira e suas histórias de vida na comunidade Santíssima Trindade, destacando-a como detentora de um rico e complexo saber sobre saúde e medicina popular das comunidades onde atuava.
