The main objective of the research is to narrate Frida's life trajectory, analyzing her performance as a leader, taking into account the problem of gender conflicts existing between her and the male leadership of her time. This fact brought about the silencing of her protagonism as a consequence, after being considered “crazy”. What caused the forgetfulness in relation to its importance to the church, being remembered by history for a long time only as the wife of one of the founders, the Swede Gunnar Vingren. In this sense, studies on Frida Vingren's life became relevant to understand how the participation of female leadership in the history of the Assemblies of God took place in the first moments of its existence. Because, in a very adverse time, Frida broke with established paradigms regarding the role of men and women in the Church. Therewith, recent studies take back the history of AD with another look at the female performance in the period of its foundation and observe the leadership developed by Frida in the literary, pastoral and music, whose legacy is to inspire other women to overcome the patriarchy, prejudice and misogyny existing in gender relations in the Churches. Thus, for this work, the methodology used is the analysis of sources such as Diário do Pioneiro; journals Boa Semente, O Som Alegre and Mensageiro da Paz; and authors, Gedeon de Alencar, Isael de Araújo and Valéria Vilhena that are essential for this research to understand gender issues, Frida's performance and her silencing and forgetfulness. A presente pesquisa tem como tema a história da Igreja Evangélica Assembleia de Deus (IEAD) como a primeira igreja pentecostal na Amazônia, que na sua origem apresentou um forte protagonismo feminino na pessoa da sueca Frida Vingren de 1917 a 1940. O objetivo principal da pesquisa é narrar a trajetória de vida de Frida, analisando a sua atuação como líder, levando em consideração a problemática dos fortes conflitos de gênero existente entre ela e a liderança masculina de sua época. Fato este que trouxe como consequência o silenciamento em relação ao seu protagonismo, após ter sido considerada “louca”. O que provocou o esquecimento em relação a sua importância para a igreja, sendo lembrada pela história durante muito tempo apenas como esposa de um dos fundadores, o sueco Gunnar Vingren. Nesse sentido os estudos sobre a vida de Frida Vingren se tornaram bem relevantes para entender como se deu a participação da liderança feminina na história das Assembleias de Deus nos seus primeiros momentos de sua existência. Pois, em um tempo bem adverso Frida rompeu com paradigmas estabelecidos a respeito do papel de homens e mulheres na Igreja. Com isso, estudos recentes retomam a história da AD com um outro olhar sobre a atuação feminina no período de sua fundação e observam a liderança desenvolvida por Frida nas áreas literárias, pastorais e da música, que tem como legado inspirar outras mulheres a vencer o patriarcado, preconceito e a misoginia existente nas relações de gênero nas Igrejas.
