Resumo:
Numerical modeling of multilayer structures in electromagnetic analysis software has contributed to the design and development of new plasmonic sensors. In this work, we present a compilation of articles published from 2016 to 2017, which aimed to use the Finite Element Method for modeling multilayer based plasmonic sensors. In the first two articles, published by the author of this work, show the results obtained using the FEM in the COMSOL software for modeling a plasmonic sensor in the Kretschmann configuration, in which samples containing Core-Shell type gold nanoparticles are sensed. The first article presents the development and modeling of the SPR sensor with light beam excitation in TM polarization, the data obtained in the analytical model were used for configuration and comparison with the numerical results for the reflectivity curve and distribution of the magnetic field in the studied structure. In the second article, the sensor response is evaluated as a function of the distance between the nanoparticles for two adjustments in its multilayer structure to study the influence on sensitivity, where the effect of coupling between the nanoparticles and the relative deviation with the analytical model was verified. Attached are two published articles, which deal with the electromagnetic coupling between Core-Shell type gold nanoparticles, all of which were contributed by the author of this work, being this co-author of the attached publications.
