Thus, this work aims to analyze the changes that occurred on the island of Cotijuba, between the 1990s, 2000, 2010 and 2022, through image processing from the Landsat 5, Landsat 8 and Sentinel 2 satellites. The results were constructed with based on the application of unsupervised Classification techniques associated with field surveys for data adjustments and the completion of a questionnaire. Over the period analyzed, there was a loss of vegetation cover and growth of the urbanized area on the island. The correlation between the years 1990 and 2013, showed a loss in the areas of primary vegetation of 5.37% and urban growth of 7.98%, in the comparison between the years 2017 and 2022, there was a loss in the area of primary vegetation of 2.97% and the urbanized area a growth of 1.97%, data that show that human activities have contributed to progressive deforestation on the island over the decades. O geoprocessamento oferece diversas possibilidades de análise e monitoramento de dados ambientais, subsidiando as tomadas de decisões com maior eficiência. Dessa forma, este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar as mudanças ocorridas na ilha de Cotijuba, entre as décadas de 1990, 2000, 2010 e 2022, através de processamento de imagens dos satélites Landsat 5, Landsat 8 e Sentinel 2. Os resultados foram construídos com base na aplicação das técnicas de Classificação não supervisionada associada aos levantamentos de campo para ajustes de dados e à realização de questionário. Ao longo do período analisado, constatou-se a perda de cobertura vegetal e crescimento da área urbanizada na ilha. A correlação entre os anos de 1990 e 2013, apresentou uma perda nas áreas de vegetação primária de 5,37% e crescimento urbano de 7,98%, na comparação entre os anos de 2017 e 2022 obteve uma perda na área de vegetação primária de 2,97% e a área urbanizada um crescimento de 1,97%, dados que evidenciam que as atividades antrópicas têm contribuído com desmatamento progressivo na ilha ao longo das décadas. 2022-07-18T20:54:54Z 2022-07-18T20:54:54Z 2022-07-08 Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Graduação GAMA, Claudomiro da Gama e.
