Resumo:
The present study was produced in order to know in detail about the water issues in the state of Tocantins, due to the water volume changing during the year and certain activities in the region being harmed, such as the irrigation of some crops. So, based on the study on the water availability of the Formoso River, this research had as main objective to analyze its water availability, morphologically and morphometrically characterizing the watershed that comprises this river, systematizing and analyzing the fluviometric data, for the understanding of its fluviometric regime. through hydrological variables. For this, data from fluviometric stations of the National Agency for Water and Basic Sanitation (ANA) were used, analyzing them through the SisCaH 1.0 software and electronic spreadsheet. From the creation of graphs, it was possible to identify the months in which the average flows were above the reference value, as established by Naturatins, inferring that the critical periods of the Formoso River between the years 2004 to 2019 are perceived in the dry period of the river, between May and November, which is the time when the river is more vulnerable to withdrawals, causing a reduction or even intervention of consumptive activities. In view of all the analyzed years of the 26730000 station, the most critical were the years 2013, 2016 and 2017, these had flows significantly below the others. For station 26720000, the most critical years were from 2002 to 2019, with the exception of the years 2004, 2009, 2012, 2015, 2017, in these years the water availability of the river was compromised or remained at the maximum allowed limit, as the place is a very critical area in relation to the amount of water, consequently the water balance of the region is very sensitive to abstractions, causing the emergence of many critical years such as those mentioned. Through the systematization to organize, validate, verify the consistency and process the data, it was crucial to choose the stations that had the historical series with more consistent data for the analyzes in SisCaH, this data processing step proved to be satisfactory, since it was possible to choose the best historical series to analyze the water availability of the Formoso River. The fluviometric analyzes carried out with SisCaH, become very practical and efficient, as the software has a simple interface and with the hydrological variables very accessible, allowing a pre-processing of the data before being analyzed, minimizing possible errors caused by data not registered.
