Specifically, we sought to historically contextualize mathematical modeling; conceptualize and define modeling in mathematics education and, finally, verify the applicability of mathematical modeling in students' daily lives. It started with a bibliographic and qualitative research, whose collection of materials and information was based on articles, books, magazines and scientific publications on this subject. The analysis was descriptive, allowing the researcher to reduce the distance between theory and data, seeking to describe certain characteristics of the phenomenon studied. The results showed that Mathematical Modeling is a critical and creative way of acting in the reality of everyday life, allows greater student participation and is a current, open, flexible and dynamic methodology, being able to transform mathematics classes into spaces for construction. collective knowledge, done in a meaningful and enjoyable way. In this way, it is possible to affirm that there are already alternatives and possibilities of experiments that can be carried out inside the classroom, even with challenges, which are to overcome the theoretical study as a single basis, and to show the applicability of mathematical knowledge from the dialogue, allowing new learning methodologies in the classroom, relating mathematical knowledge to the students' daily lives. O objetivo geral deste trabalho foi investigar no ensino de Matemática as contribuições da Modelagem Matemática na resolução de problemas do cotidiano. Especificamente buscou-se contextualizar historicamente a modelagem matemática; conceituar e definir a modelagem na educação matemática e por fim verificar a aplicabilidade da modelagem matemática no cotidiano dos alunos. Partiu-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica e qualitativa, cuja coleta de materiais e informações se deu a partir de artigos, livros, revistas e publicações científicas sobre este assunto. A análise foi descritiva, permitindo ao pesquisador reduzir a distância entre a teoria e os dados, buscando descrever determinadas características do fenômeno estudado. Os resultados demonstraram que a Modelagem Matemática é uma forma crítica e criativa de atuação na realidade do cotidiano, permite maior participação dos alunos e se mostra uma metodologia atual, aberta, flexível e dinâmica, sendo capaz de transformar as aulas de matemática em espaços de construção coletiva do conhecimento, feito de maneira significativa e agradável. Desta forma, é possível afirmar que já existem alternativas e possibilidades de experimentos que podem ser realizados dentro de sala de aula, mesmo havendo desafios, que sejam o de ultrapassar o estudo teórico como base única, e mostrar a aplicabilidade do conhecimento matemático a partir do diálogo, permitindo novas metodologias de aprendizagem em sala de aula, relacionando o conhecimento matemático ao cotidiano dos alunos. 2022-09-19T11:44:03Z 2022-09-19T11:44:03Z 2022-09-01 Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Graduação SILVA, Arlan Oliveira.
