Population aging experienced in recent decades occurs unevenly between countries. Knowing the sociodemographic profile and quality of life of the elderly is important so that measures to improve their living conditions and health care are developed. The aim of the study is to assess the quality of life of the elderly who attend the Coexistence Center for the Best Age (CCMI) and the elderly who live in Bairro Sudam II. This is a cross-sectional and descriptive study. The survey was conducted with seniors who attend the CCMI and seniors who live in the Sudam II neighborhood. Use as tools the questionnaire on the sociodemographic profile and the WHOQOL-OLD questionnaire, which assessed the general quality of life and its facets, classified using the Likert scale. Data were expressed as percentage and benefit using Excel software. In the sociodemographic profile of the CCMI, there was a majority of women, aged 60 to 75 years, brown, widowed, educated up to the 4th grade, retired with 1 salary. As for quality of life, in the sensory functioning facet 50% were classified as regular, 44.44% were classified as good in autonomy, in the facet past, present and future activities 41.63% were grouped as good, in the social participation facet 44 .45% were categorized as regular, in the facet of death and dying 50% were classified as good, in the intimacy facet 41.66% were grouped as very good and 61.12% had a regular score in general quality of life. In the sociodemographic profile of the Sudam II neighborhood, the majority was female, 60 to 75 years old, brown, married, educated up to the 4th grade, retired with 1 salary. As for quality of life, in the sensory functioning facet 34.88% were classified as needing improvement, in autonomy 48.84% were categorized as good, in past, present and future activities 53.49% were grouped as good, in participation social 45.35% were classified as good, in the death and dying facet 41.86% obtained a good score, in the intimacy facet 45.35% were classified as very good and in the general quality of life 52.32% were classified as regular. Thus, it was observed that the facets contribute differently to the general quality of life and in both places the quality of life was classified as regular.
