Resumo:
This systematic literature review aims to carry out the bibliographic review on the Therapeutic Approach of Genu Varum knees in patients with Achondroplasia, presenting clinical approaches for the treatment of Genu Varum knees in these patients. For the present study, a bibliographic survey from 1995 to 2020 was used on the SciELO, Lilacs, Medline, Google Scholar, and Pubmed platforms using the keywords: Achondroplasia, Genu Varum, and Therapeutic Approaches for the selection of articles on the appropriate platforms. Articles were selected after reading the abstracts and then reading the most relevant projects on the general theme, analyzing the material produced through tabulation and selection of articles according to the author; theme; year; magazine; objective and main results. The articles were organized in chronological order, presenting the approaches taken in each study, among the results obtained, each clinical and surgical approach can be observed, evidencing the osteotomy accompanied by the tightening of the lateral collateral ligament and the planned fibular nonunion, in addition to the use of arthrography as a form of complementary examination. From the results obtained, it is concluded that in addition to the traditional forms of intervention for varus knees in patients with achondroplasia, there is scientific evidence of the existence of alternative ways of bone resolution in these patients, aiming at the patients' quality of life.
