In view of the recent legislative innovation brought by Law No. 14.064 / 2020, motivated by the increased visibility of the animal cause on social media and, consequent awareness of the population about the need to protect these beings, we sought to study the service, due to its main characteristic, the guarantee of the anonymity of the whistleblower, which consists in encouraging the communication of crime by this means.Through bibliographic and documentary research, the work was developed, based on the analysis of the service's functioning and the profile of anonymous reports of ill-treatment against animals, allegedly occurred in the municipality of Belém and in the Metropolitan Region, as well as the analysis responses recorded by the police authorities responsible for conducting investigative activities. From the data analysis, it was possible to conclude that the process of constituting the report of the complaint, based on the communication established between the complainant and the tele attendant, results in the provision of precise informational elements about the authorship, location and execution of the crime, able to subsidize a effective police diligence to verify the veracity of the complaint, however, the analysis of the treatment given to these complaints by the responsible police agents was impaired, due to the small amount of responses recorded in the Hotline system. O objetivo do presente estudo visa analisar qual a utilidade do Disque-Denúncia, enquanto serviço de registro de denúncias anônimas de maus tratos contra animais. Ante a recente inovação legislativa trazida pela Lei nº 14.064/2020, motivada pela intensificação da visibilidade da causa animal nas mídias sociais e, consequente conscientização da população acerca da necessidade de proteção a esses seres, buscou-se estudar o serviço, em razão de sua principal característica, a garantia do anonimato do denunciante, o que consiste em incentivo à comunicação do crime por este meio. Por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, o trabalho foi desenvolvido, a partir da análise do funcionamento do serviço e do perfil de denúncias anônimas registradas de maus tratos contra animais, supostamente ocorridos no município de Belém e na Região Metropolitana, bem como da análise das respostas registradas pelas autoridades policiais responsáveis pela condução das atividades investigativas. Da análise dos dados, foi possível concluir que o processo de constituição do relato da denúncia, a partir da comunicação estabelecida entre denunciante e tele atendente, resulta no fornecimento de elementos informacionais precisos acerca da autoria, local e execução do crime, aptos a subsidiar uma efetiva diligência policial à aferição da veracidade da denúncia, entretanto, restou prejudicada a análise do tratamento conferido a essas denúncias, pelos agentes policiais responsáveis, em razão do pequeno quantitativo de respostas registradas no sistema do Disque-Denúncia. 2022-11-25T15:16:07Z 2022-11-25T15:16:07Z 2021-02-15 Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Graduação MASSIH, Mirna Maia Abdul.
